As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a key role in the continuous improvement and optimization of our plant’s manufacturing processes. You will also be a key liaison point with our graphic design department, to maximize the efficiency and performance of our production.
Your Key Responsibilities: Industrial Process & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with design, prepress, procurement, and project management teams to implement new solutions and optimize plant performance.
- Propose and deploy more efficient assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Draft clear, SEO-optimized work instructions for all manufacturing departments.
- Develop and establish standard operating procedures and a technical training manual for employees.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend effective, data-driven solutions.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to boost productivity and reduce waste.
- Lead R&D projects to innovate and refine production techniques.
- Create detailed technical drawings for CNC machining using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Ensure ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of production equipment.
- Support the installation of new equipment to streamline manufacturing workflows.
Required Profile: Engineering Expertise & Leadership
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Automated Production, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in continuous improvement and process optimization within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for CAD design.
- Deep understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).
- Experience with robotic programming is a plus.
- Personal Qualities:
- Strong leadership and autonomy.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for innovation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet concrete targets.
- Languages: Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
- Professional Membership: Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
